Enrollment Period

We recommend that new students for the 2023-2024 school year apply to Erie Catholic School System before April 1st but new student enrollment will continue throughout the summer. Families interested in transferring students to Erie Catholic are welcome to initiate the enrollment process at any time.

Requirements

For 2.5*-, 3- and 4-year-old preschool/Pre-K, students must be the respective class age by September 1 of the enrollment year.

For admission to kindergarten, children must be five by September 1 of the enrollment year. Incoming first grade students must be six by September 1.

The following information is needed for application review and can be submitted with the online application.

  • Birth Certificate

  • Baptismal certificate, if applicable 
  • $30 registration fee per child

  • Immunization records – The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania mandates that all children entering Kindergarten or Grade 1, or transferring schools in any grade, present documented proof of the following immunizations or risk exclusion:

For Attendance in 7th Grade:

  • 1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) on the first day of 7th grade
  • 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV) on the first day of 7th grade

These requirements allow for the following exemptions: medical reason, religious belief, or philosophical/strong moral or ethical conviction. Parent/guardian must provide a written letter explaining reason for exemption.

Admission/Placement

Students will be admitted to Erie Catholic schools on a first come, first-serve basis. In cases where space is limited in the class or school of your choice, applicants will be placed on a waiting list. Placement on a waiting list does not guarantee admission. Erie Catholic School System admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.

The school will follow up with additional steps including but not limited to the Tuition Commitment Contract and tuition and scholarship options.
