Curriculum:

St Jude School also offers a self-contained All Day PreK Program. This program is designed to introduce 4 and 5-year-old children with types of schedules and routines they will experience in kindergarten. The children are exposed to routine vocabulary including Circle Time, Music and Movement, Learning Centers, Show & Tell, Lunch Time, Calendar, Story Time and School Specials which include Library, Music, Computer and Physical Education. We provide a learning environment that encourages listening and language development. Reading and Math readiness skills are practiced daily. Throughout their daily activities the children are given the opportunity to socialize, reason, discover, remember and experiment with many different kinds of mediums.

Kathy Farrell

Kathy Farrell graduated from Edinboro University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology.  She began teaching at Villa Maria Elementary School in 2005 where she taught Kindergarten for 7 years and Preschool for 5 years.  Kathy received her Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Gannon University in 2014.  
 

Abigail Spronatti

Abagail Spronatti graduated from Penn State Behrend where she earned a Bachelor's degree.  She then went on to earn a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from Edinboro University.  After graduation, she began working in several schools throughout Erie before teaching Pre-Kindergarten at St. Jude.

 

Katherine Haines

Katherine Haines graduated from Mercyhurst University in 2016 with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She continued at Mercyhurst University to receive a Master's of Science degree in Special Education, which she completed in May of 2018. She is certified in Early Childhood PreK-4th Grade and Special Education PreK-8th Grade. While completing her Master's Degree, Katherine had a graduate assistant position teaching PreK in Erie's Public Schools. This half day position allowed her the opportunity to substitute teach in the morning for a variety of grades at a few different Erie Public Schools. Mrs. Haines loves teaching PreK! There is no place she would rather be than sharing her passion for learning with the PreK students at St. Jude!
