St Jude School also offers a self-contained All Day PreK Program. This program is designed to introduce 4 and 5-year-old children with types of schedules and routines they will experience in kindergarten. The children are exposed to routine vocabulary including Circle Time, Music and Movement, Learning Centers, Show & Tell, Lunch Time, Calendar, Story Time and School Specials which include Library, Music, Computer and Physical Education. We provide a learning environment that encourages listening and language development. Reading and Math readiness skills are practiced daily. Throughout their daily activities the children are given the opportunity to socialize, reason, discover, remember and experiment with many different kinds of mediums.
Jill Hall received a BS in Elementary Education from The University of Akron, Akron, Ohio. She is certified in Early Childhood (Preschool and Kindergarten) and has taught in both public and private schools since 1991. She has been a PreK teacher at St. Jude School/formerly Our Lady's Christian School since 2007.
Jill has been married for 32 years and is a mother of 3 children. She loves teaching preschool children because they are genuine. Preschool children tell you what's on their mind and show you what's in their hearts.
Kathy Farrell graduated from Edinboro University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology. She began teaching at Villa Maria Elementary School in 2005 where she taught Kindergarten for 7 years and Preschool for 5 years. Kathy received her Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Gannon University in 2014.
