Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science is a program for Grade 7-8 students. Each participant develops a science project utilizing the scientific method. Projects are presented at a regional competition in February, and students may qualify for state competition at Penn State in May. Honor students are encouraged to participate in PJAS. All other junior high students develop a project for the annual St. James Science Fair.
