It is the objective of Saint George School to provide an environment of quality Catholic education and to maintain a challenging curriculum that provides a strong foundation for a higher level of education.
The STAR Foundation provides tuition assistance to families who need tuition help and meet the guidelines set by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The STAR Foundation is funded by businesses that receive a business tax credit under PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. STAR Foundation applications are due in March to the Diocese. Saint George School Tuition Angel Scholarship Program also provides tuition assistance to families who need help. The scholarship program is funded by donations to the Tuition Angel Program and gifts to the Annual Appeal. A financial aid form must be filed through the school office. Assistance is determined based on need.
Fundraising is a part of our school financial policy and it is a matter of fairness for every family to meet this obligation.
Each family may select from the following two tuition payment options:
Plan 1 - Full Payment: The full amount of tuition is to be paid on or before July 1st. This payment is made directly to the school office. Families who choose this payment option and fail to pay their tuition in full by July 10th will be contacted and tuition payments will be set up through the FACTS Tuition Management Plan
Plan 2 - Monthly Automatic Withdrawal: We offer an automatic payment plan that will electronically transfer payment from your financial institution. You can sign up to have either quarterly or monthly withdrawals. To enroll in the FACTS plan either click on the link below or visit our school office with a VOIDED check to complete the enrollment form.
It shall be the responsibility of each school family to keep the Pastor or Principal informed of their need to make any changes in their Tuition Payment Option or adjustment in the amount of tuition expected to be paid. Without such information, the following policy will apply when tuition payments are received late. School families who have missed two monthly payments and have not paid the amount due to the school office or have not made suitable arrangements within fourteen (14) calendar days of the second missed payment, will be informed that their child(ren) will not be readmitted to school until payment plans have been established with the Pastor. Late fees will be applied. Families may not reregister their child(ren) for the following school year unless tuition is current. In addition, parents of 8th-grade students must fulfill all financial obligations prior to graduation.
