Our curriculum builds a strong, solid foundation for knowledge to grow each year and to promote life-long learners. Our welcoming, certified teachers utilize timeless, age-appropriate teaching and learning methodologies to enhance learning potential. Saint George School takes pride in the outstanding student-teacher rapport that results in a calm and conducive opportunity for student learning.

Saint George School implements Common Core Standards of the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Diocese of Erie.  We offer the Simple Solutions Mathematics Series approach for additional learning and practice in Math, utilized in all grades, which provides successful long-term knowledge retention.

DSC_0301.JPGEvery Tuesday, Saint George School students gather in our Church, with direct access from our school, for worship at student-led Liturgies. Community service projects are offered at all grade levels as well as religious experiences, services and devotional practices consistent with the Catholic faith. In addition to our structured academics, students have the opportunity to participate in activities that promote friendship, sharing and teach social skills. Saint George School students engage in various physical fitness activities at our on-site playground, multi-purpose activity area known as the “green space,” gymnasium and our well-equipped fitness room.

Saint George School students in the Diocese of Erie receive a well-rounded education in all subject areas. When designing the curriculum, the experienced faculty strives to ensure students are receiving academic excellence, faith development as well as leadership development during their learning experiences. The attendance policy for Saint George School is based on the Pennsylvania School Code. The Wellness Policy for our schools has been written to comply with federal and state requirements and is designed to promote student wellness in the areas of nutrition, physical activity, and physical education.
