Damon Finazzo
President, Erie Catholic School System

As President of the Erie Catholic School System, Damon Finazzo leads a team of senior staff and principals to ensure that the system’s six schools deliver the highest quality education. Reporting to the Erie Catholic Board of Directors and the diocesan Office of Catholic Schools, Mr. Finazzo oversees system-wide finance, IT, enrollment and institutional advancement operations.

Prior to joining Erie Catholic, Mr. Finazzo served as principal of Villa Maria Elementary School from 2009-2017, and was previously an administrator at Cashell Donahoe Elementary School in Sandston, Va., and a teacher at Glen Lea Elementary School in Henrico, Va. A native of Erie, Mr. Finazzo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Grove City College and a Master of Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.
 

Heidi Sheehan

Heidi Sheehan
Director of Finance, Erie Catholic School System

Heidi E. Sheehan, CPA, is business manager for the Erie Catholic School System. She oversees business operations and develops business plans and strategies to support the mission of Catholic education in concert with the president and the board of directors. She was previously the director of finance for Villa Maria Elementary School in Erie and has a diverse background in accounting and financial management in business and industry as well as education. Sheehan earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Penn State University in State College, Pa.

 

John Schroeck
Director of Technology, Erie Catholic School System

John Schroeck, director of technology for Erie Catholic, oversees the implementation and use of technology throughout the system’s six elementary schools. Prior to being named to his current position in July 2017, Schroeck taught technology for over 25 years at his alma mater, St. George School, where he also served as the technology coordinator. In addition to his tenure at St. George School, Schroeck has been a technology consultant for the diocese since 2004 and was instrumental in the long-term planning and development of technology for Erie Catholic. An Erie native, Schroeck is also a graduate of Cathedral Prep and Gannon University.
