Erie Catholic’s mission is to maximize every child’s academic and spiritual potential through engaging learning experiences and the Gospel values of Jesus Christ, in a welcoming and safe environment. The Erie Catholic Education Fund, established through the generosity of an anonymous donor, is helping bring that mission to as many children as possible. Both new and current students are eligible to receive tuition grants from this fund.
How it works
For new families:
Grants are available to public, private, home school or charter school students enrolling in an Erie Catholic school in kindergarten through Grade 8 for the 2018-19 school year.
Upon acceptance into an Erie Catholic school, a new student may receive a grant of up to $1,500 toward tuition, with up to $1,000 being awarded in year one and $500 in year two.
Families enrolling a second student are eligible to receive an additional $500 grant for a maximum award of $2,000 per family. Grants are awarded in the amount of up to $1,500 in year one and $500 in year two. This is in addition to our existing 50% discount for a second child. See our Tuition page for more information.
Students currently enrolled in a Catholic school in the region are not eligible for grants as new students.
To receive a grant, students must register with Erie Catholic by August 17, 2018.
For current families:
Grants are also available to current school families. These grants aim to help families who may or may not qualify for other forms of tuition assistance but sacrifice to send their children to Catholic schools, as well as those who need additional assistance.
The deadline to apply is August 17, 2018.
