Vice President of Enrollment Management
 
The Vice President of Enrollment Management oversees all aspects of student recruitment and retention for the school system. The individual in this position is responsible for marketing the schools to the external and internal communities, for developing and implementing admissions’ policies, and for ensuring that each class is filled with and retains appropriate, qualified students. The Vice President of Enrollment Management will enthusiastically embrace and be able to communicate the mission, philosophy, and culture of the Erie Catholic School System (ECSS) and its campuses.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Marketing, Education or a related field
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Office 365
  • Able to occasionally work evenings and weekends as needed
 
Desired Qualifications:
  • A preferred minimum of 3-5 years’ successful experience in enrollment management, admissions and/or sales/marketing experience, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Familiarity with Catholic education
  • Experience with student management software
 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements a strategic enrollment plan as well as an integrated marketing and recruitment plan in support of a robust, sustainable preschool-8 school system
  • Establishes policies, procedures and practices for student recruitment and enrollment.
  • Directs all prospecting, presenting and closing efforts needed to admit and retain new students from point of inquiry through enrollment
  • Enhances and maintains the prospective student database.
  • Utilizes modern forms of marketing principles and strategies, including the use of data-informed research, media-driven technologies, and results-oriented initiatives, to increase enrollment and student retention.
  • Conceives, develops and oversees the design and implementation of student retention strategies.
  • Directs all school system marketing activities, including marketing communications, public relations, admission events, market research and analysis.
  • Plans and participates in recruitment activities such as school visits, open houses, prospective parent events, activities for prospective students, recruitment booths, etc.
  • Creates and sustains a culture of shared ownership of enrollment management among a broad coalition of stakeholders
  • Develops and manages the Enrollment Management budget.
  • Works on student/family financial aid award evaluations.
  • Communicates effectively and transparently with the President, the Board of Directors and colleagues.

Vice President of Advancement
 
The Vice President of Advancement oversees all advancement and fundraising activities directed towards alumni, parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, foundations, friends of the schools and all other stakeholders in the school system. The individual will also oversee any capital campaign efforts within the school system.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations, sales, education or a related field
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Office 365
  • Able to occasionally work evenings and weekends as needed
 
Desired Qualifications:
  • A preferred minimum of 3-5 years’ successful experience in advancement efforts – major gifts, annual giving, endowments, campaigns, planned giving, special events, and/or sales/marketing experience.
  • Familiarity with Catholic education
  • Software skills ideally with donor management software
 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Work with President, staff and volunteers on major gift cultivation and solicitation efforts for ongoing fund-raising activities and events.
  • Work directly with and support the efforts of staff, parents, alumni and volunteers with respect to the school system’s advancement and alumni programs.
  • Oversee and manage all advancement employees at each campus.
  • Coordinate the activities for annual giving, alumni programs, special events, research, donor relations, corporate and foundation relations, and planned giving to ensure appropriate assignments of projects and adequate support for performance of duties.
  • Coordinate and cultivate appropriate communications and relationships with all stakeholders of the school system community including regarding the activities and progress of the advancement program.
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gift prospects for the school system.
  • Identify opportunities and solicit grants on behalf of the school system.
  • Prepare and monitor the annual budget for the advancement department.
  • Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to develop strategic advancement planning.
